When I was around 8-10 years old, I remember begging my busy mother to make me a vanilla cake. She refused and told me to make it myself. Which, surprisingly, considering how lazy I am, I did it. That moment was when my love of baking started (thanks mom!). Since that moment, I’ve been baking at any chance I could. High school party? I got the cupcakes. Bake sale? Heck yes. Annoying my mother by pretending I was on cake boss and ruining her kitchen? Every weekend.
I couldn’t imagine telling high school Emilee that she would be one day writing an “about me” section for not only her own website, but a website show casing all of the treats I have gotten to make for the Fredericksburg area.
I’m still annoying my mother more than I should, being as messy as ever, eating way too many sweets, but my baking skills are steadily increasing.
I can’t wait to bake up brownies, cakesicles, cakes, cupcakes, cookies, and any other baked good you and I can think of.
(Also have to shout out my sister Casey who let me bake along side her growing up even if most of my “help” came in the form of washing the dishes)
