Will my cake look exactly like the photo I sent?

Not all bakers shop at all the same store, use the same products, and many bakers have worked hard on figuring out certain unique abilities that they rightfully don’t want to share with other bakers. I have my own sense of style and abilities so I can’t guarantee that your cake will look exactly like the inspirational photo. I can guarantee that I’ll give your cake a “One Lady & A Mixer” spin to it.

How long in advance should I order?

I would recommend 3-4 weeks in advance, but I’ll take them as soon as you wanna message me about them! Sooner does allow me to order any items I need for your treats.

How is my spot saved?

Your spot isn’t saved until I send the invoice over. This means we could be talking for weeks, but if I don’t have all the information to send an invoice then it isn’t saved. Make sure to get back to me and answer any questions I may have as soon as possible to guarantee I can make your yummy treats!

Can I message you with a last minute order?

Of course! I can’t guarantee that I’ll be able to squeeze it in, but I’ll always try! If it’s a week before an event, a late fee will more than likely apply.

Where do we pick up?

I do all of my pick ups at the Walmart on 17 (11 Village Parkway, Fredericksburg VA 22406) and I offer delivery for an additional fee. If you happen to live in Stafford Lakes or Cardinal Forest, delivery is always free!

How do you take payment?

PayPal! You don’t need a PayPal account to work with me, just a credit card.

What are the additional charges on my invoice?

There is a 2.5% tax charged on all of my orders. I pay state taxes just like a store front does! There’s also a 3.5% + .50 cents charge for the fee that PayPal takes out for using their system.

When will you be doing your next special?

I do my specials on almost all big holidays. Be on the look out for Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, Valentine’s, Mother’s Day, and Father’s Day especially.

Do you do fondant cakes?

I only do buttercream cakes, but I do fondant details and fondant paneling. I also offer fondant toppers for my cupcakes.

Terms & Conditions (these are listed on my invoices, but I’ll also list here):

Payment is 100% refundable before due date. After invoice due date payment is 50% refundable. Refund is not available for cancellation within 72 hours of pick up/delivery date.

One Lady and A Mixer is not responsible for damages or repairs needed for any product after delivery/pick up has been made. If anything does happen, however, One Lady and A Mixer may be able to repair any damages at an additional price. This is not guarantee. Refunds will not be made for any damages that occur after delivery/pick up. If something is not correct with the product, it needs to be mentioned while delivery or pick up is happening. (To include damages relating to temperature changes inside/outside, products being moved, client transportation, etc,.) Please remember Frosting is made with butter. Butter will melt quickly in hot temperatures.

If an inspiration photo is sent, One Lady and A Mixer can not guarantee an exact replica of the photo. Each dessert is custom made and everyone has their own sense of style.

If the date the product is needed is pushed back because of rain, emergencies, or anything else there is no guarantee that One Lady and A Mixer can make that product for the new date. If the product is already made by the time One Lady and A Mixer is notified of the date change, One Lady and A Mixer is not responsible for keeping the product until the new date. Date changes could result in an addition fee.

Please be respectful of my time. If an agreed upon time is establish please try your hardest to be there at the agreed time, just like I will make sure I'm there as well. Often times I'm running multiple other orders/errands and when someone is late, this can cause my whole day to get pushed back. I do understand life happens, but if you aren't in the agreed upon location within 15 mins of the agreed upon time, you forfeit your payment and the order is no longer my reasonability.

All products are made in a home kitchen and have not been inspected by the Department of Virginia Health or a local health department.

Products may contain: Soy, Eggs, Nuts, Gluten, Tree Nuts, Peanuts, Milk, and/or Wheat. Products are NOT made in a nut free kitchen. Those with allergens order at their own risk. One Lady and A Mixer is not liable for any heath related issues in the consumption of purchased products by either you or any guest.

Payment of invoice is an agreement of these terms.
